Today begins a project to document 30 days in my classroom and school. I'll try to capture the tiny moments, the daily, ordinary routines, the processes and the products of learning that often surprise and amaze me. I know that I'll struggle to choose just the right image each day, but ultimately I hope to see my teaching work in a new way.
In second grade Art, the children spend weeks learning about primitive art. They make their own brushes and eventually create a beautiful cave painting. Each one is incredible and unique. The photo doesn't quite capture the detail of this painting. Sand was even used to created the feeling of a rough cave wall.
